Gavin, Owen, & the Preschool Pinata

Gavin is finished with Preschool until next fall. Their last day was Field Day and Owen & I got to go help. (Actually we were supposed to help but Owen had an accident when we first got to the preschool so we were late.) They did sidewalk chalk:

They had a water balloon toss, ate popsicles, and there was even a pinata. Here's Gavin:

Even Owen got a turn:

This is Gavin with his "best friend" Xendria. We're going to miss Preschool and Mrs. Sarah. We're already looking forward to September.

Cam's Eye Block

I haven't been very good at blogging lately and it's mostly because I either forget to take my camera or the batteries in my camera are dead and I'd rather not post without pictures. I did remember to take my camera to Cam's soccer game last week and took this video. Cam is in red shorts, number 10. He's really been trying hard to score this year but has not been successful yet. In this clip he "blocks" the ball with his face! You may hear his dad jokingly say, "Now open that eye and let's play soccer." You will not hear his coach say, "Cameron, that was a great eye block" but I can guarantee his coach did say that because Cam has repeated this sentence numerous times in the last week. ("Mom, remember when I did a great eye block?" or "That was so funny when I did an eye block in my soccer game.") His last game is this Thursday if anyone is interested. Enjoy...

Abbie's Baptism

We had the wonderful opportunity of attending Abbie's baptism last Saturday. She was the only child being baptized so her program was very special. Her grandma's gave the opening and closing prayers, Aunt Emily lead the music, Uncle Zay & I gave the talks, and everyone who was in attendance was there because they love Abbie. She looked beautiful in her new white dress and my boys enjoyed watching her be baptized and confirmed.

Here are a couple of pictures that were taken before the baptism. The batteries in my camera decided to die just as I pulled it out to take pics so I had to "steal" these pics from Emily's blog. Hope you don't mind, Em.

200th Post!

This is my 200th Post!

Here are a few things that are happening in our lives:

Gavin has allergies...BAD! He went to the doctor last week and she said that he also has asthma. He has to do breathing treatments at night, take Singulair in the morning, and let me put eye drops in his eyes whenever they itch.

Cameron only has 22 school days left! His entire grade got to go on a field trip last week to Thanksgiving Point & Harmon's Grocery store. He thought it was awesome. Cam has been playing soccer this spring and has 3 games left. His team is pretty aggressive and he has learned a lot. (He's still a little more timid than his dad would like him to be.)

We purchased a new bunk bed for the boys. Although they don't have to, they want to sleep in the same room. The new bunk bed has a full size mattress on the bottom and a twin on the top. Cam has been taking the top bunk, Gavin has been on the bottom. Owen usually starts next to Gavin, then climbs up with Cam, then ends on the toddler bed that is still in their room. Owen has been having a rough time at night, he just isn't sure where he is most comfortable yet.

I had to speak at our stake baptism last Saturday. Lucky me, I get to give the same talk at (my niece) Abbie's baptism this Saturday. Guess that's part of being the Primary President. We purchased a new computer with a portion of our tax return so now I can get to work making our blog into a book. I'm so excited.

Spencer's parents have sold their home in Hawaii and will be moving back to Utah within the next few weeks. Their home was on the market for close to 1 year and we are so excited that it finally sold! They are anxious to be closer to their grandsons and we're anxious to use them as babysitters from time to time :)

Our home is still for sale in Idaho Falls. It is listed with our cousin, Steve Butler and we have high hopes that it will sell soon. However, we're also exploring our options of renting it out for another year. If you know of anyone who is looking for a place to buy or rent...let me know!
