Vice President

During the same week as the move, Spencer had to travel to Portland for, quite possibly, the biggest job interview of our lives! Previously, the president of Spencer's company had encouraged him to apply for an open position, Regional Vice President. So he did.

He had to interview with 3 other RVP's and then with the President. We were super stressed about all the big changes in our lives and are so happy that it all paid off. 

Spencer is now the Vice President of Sales & Operations in Utah, Wyoming, and Nevada. 

Moving

After nearly 5 years at the same residence, we moved! When we moved to Utah in 2008, we started renting a home of someone who was employed by the same company as Spencer. They had wanted to sell the house but couldn't, due to the housing market. They decided to rent it to us and we signed a one-year lease. Each year, they would evaluate the market to see if it was time to sell. Luckily (for us) they weren't ready to sell until this year. We loved the ward and neighborhood and didn't look forward to moving.

We were happy to find another rental, just one mile away.  But moving is not fun, whther it's one mile or 1,000 miles!  We signed a 2-year lease on the new home so we know we won't be moving for at least 2 years!

Greatest thing about the move?  Kids can now walk, skateboard, or scooter to school...it's only 0.3 miles from our house!
