Callie turned 28 on the 25th of January. She told me that she just wanted to go to dinner with her sisters & their families. However, I took it upon myself to invite some of our Baldwin cousins who are close to her age and live in Utah without letting Callie in on our little surprise. We all met at The Training Table. When we got there, just cousin Hugh had arrived. I said, "Maybe we should sit next to this lonely man." At first, Callie didn't realize it was Hugh and couldn't believe I'd want to sit next to some random guy. When she figured it out though she was super surprised! In the end, there were 16 of us...Callie, Spencer, Me, Cameron, Gavin, Owen, Emily, Jeff, Hugh, Candace, Carlos, Natalie, Jamison, Amber, Spence, and Mia. It was so fun to see our cousins. We visited until the Training Table closed. We laughed a lot and cannot wait to get together again.
On the 27th of January, Callie graduated from Cosmetology School. She completed her 2000 hours, took and passed both tests, and is now looking for a good job. She worked really hard for the last 13 months...going to school in the evenings, working a full-time job in the daytime. They had a small graduation in her honor but since it was a Wednesday night, she didn't want us to make a very big deal about it. She just said that if Emily & I could go, that'd be great. However, Mom & Dad wanted to be part of the celebration so, once again, without Callie's knowledge, they drove to Utah. She was so so so surprised to see them.
Here she is with her instructors, friends, and the flowers mom & dad brought her.
We're so proud of you Cals!
