Bingham Canyon Mine

Spencer took a couple of days off in August. We were originally going to have a Rick Tew Family reunion in Idaho but changed it to Utah which gave us an extra day with Spencer home! We decided to take the kids to Bingham Canyon Mine...only a short drive from where we live and we'd never been. (Actually Cameron went last year with G & G Styer and Spence went when he was a little boy.) We loaded up and made our first stop at In 'n Out Burger. Yum!



Then traveled on to the Mine. We enjoyed the short video they show in the Visitor's Center, looking at the big trucks, and taking a picture in front of the giant tire. And Cam posed for us in front of a dinosaur fossil that is called the "Camarasaurus". It really was worth the drive if you have kids who are semi interested in trucks, rocks, etc.
