Grandma Marie

My Grandma, Emma Marie Grimmett Baldwin, was a Leap Year Baby. When she was born, the midwife was very concerned about her being born on February 29th and checked many clocks to make sure it really was still February 29th! She never seemed to mind though. She passed away in November 2004. Today would have been her 24th real birthday. (She would have been 96!)

Thanks, Natalie, for the sweet blog for your Grandma's and my mother's birthday. We are looking forward to getting together for cake & ice cream in her honor Sunday night for anyone who can come. We all have such good memories of Grandma!

Natalie,
If was fun to see you at McDonalds the other day! I feel very lucky to have been in the family while your grandparents were still alive. We will always miss them. The pictures on your blog are so nice. Hopefully we'll see you at the party tomorrow night!
